Airline Container Coatings: Hot meal on aeroplanes are generally served in white or pastel colored epoxy coated containers.

Inside the containers is invariably coated with white coating which looks hygienically clean and is approved for direct food contact.

Internal whites in addition are required to pass various & quite servere tests where food stiffs (e.g. potatoes, soups and margarine) are baked on to surfaces.

The performance of the coating is well judged on the following requirements:

1. Opposing chemical models.

2. Resistant to steam sterlization process (130C/40 min).

3. Coating need to be flexible enough to deep draw without breaking down or losing adhesion.
